Goose, the acclaimed jam band, has officially parted ways with percussionist Jeff Arevalo due to concerns about his personal conduct. The band announced this decision on their social media platforms, emphasizing that Arevalo’s behavior did not align with their core values.
In February 2025, Arevalo had taken a hiatus from touring, citing a need to focus on his mental health and personal well-being. However, recent developments have led to his permanent departure from the group.
Arevalo joined Goose in 2020, contributing significantly to their evolving sound. He also played upright bass for Orebolo, an acoustic offshoot of Goose, alongside members Peter Anspach and Rick Mitarotonda.
While the band has not disclosed specific details about the behavior leading to Arevalo’s exit, they have made it clear that maintaining their community’s integrity is a priority. Goose has not yet announced plans to replace Arevalo or adjust their lineup following his departure.
