Pauline Road Fire Spreads in San Jacinto County, Forcing Evacuations

the Pauline Road Fire continues to pose significant challenges in San Jacinto and Montgomery counties, Texas. The wildfire has expanded to approximately 2,000 acres with only 10% containment.

Evacuation Orders and Affected Areas:

  • Mandatory Evacuations: Residents along Pauline Road, Lee Turner Road, Kirby Road, Big Buck Road, Hereford Way, and Blue Teal Road have been ordered to evacuate.
  • Voluntary Evacuations: Approximately 900 homes are under either mandatory or voluntary evacuation orders in the affected counties.

Emergency Shelters:

  • For Residents: An emergency shelter is available at 255 Live Oak St in Coldspring.
  • For Livestock: The Caney Creek Cowboy Church in Conroe is accommodating displaced livestock.

Firefighting Efforts:

Firefighters have worked tirelessly overnight to protect structures, and as of the latest reports, no buildings have been damaged. Additional resources, including air tankers and bulldozers, are being deployed to combat the fire.

School Closures:

Due to safety concerns, Cleveland ISD has closed all schools today. The district is closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as necessary.
