A series of powerful tornadoes and severe storms swept through northeast Arkansas on March 14, 2025, causing significant damage in communities such as Cave City and Jonesboro. The storms resulted in multiple fatalities, numerous injuries, and widespread destruction of property.
Cave City: State of Emergency Declared
Cave City Mayor Jonas Anderson declared a state of emergency following the devastation caused by an EF-3 tornado with estimated peak winds of 140 mph. The tornado struck the town, leading to extensive damage to homes, businesses, and infrastructure. Remarkably, despite the severity of the storm, no fatalities were reported in Cave City; however, five individuals sustained injuries.
