SPOKANE, WA – The University of Connecticut (UConn) women’s basketball team secured their 24th Final Four appearance after a decisive 78-64 victory over the University of Southern California (USC) in the Elite Eight on Monday night at Spokane Arena.

First Half: UConn Takes Control

USC started strong, jumping to an early six-point lead in the first quarter. However, UConn responded with a 14-2 run, led by star guard Paige Bueckers, who dominated offensively. By halftime, UConn held a comfortable 39-25 lead.

Second Half: USC Fights Back but Falls Short

The Trojans came out aggressive in the third quarter, cutting the lead to just five points behind the efforts of Rayah Marshall, who finished with 23 points and 15 rebounds. However, UConn responded in the final quarter, pulling away with a dominant defensive display and key three-pointers from Sarah Strong, who recorded a double-double with 22 points and 17 rebounds.
